Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance of renown Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a student, and as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choirs. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She's a frequent solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions singing traditional Latin American Music. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially in the younger generations, for keeping this music in the present.
