Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born the 8th of July, 1989 in Paris. When she moved to Oxfordshire around the age of five, Emma attended the Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she realized she wanted to become an actress. She trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford in which she learned acting as well as singing. By the time she turned 10, Emma had taken part in numerous Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the movie adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for very first time back in the year 1999. Casting agents discovered Emma by way of her Oxford theatre instructor. After eight auditions consistently, director David Heyman told Emma and fellow applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast as the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. The movie broke all records on the opening weekend and sales, and it was the highest-grossing film of 2001. The film received praise from critics, as were the performances of its three new starlets. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British newspaper, was awed by her for her performance. Emma's performance was nominated and won five awards later in the film.
